Squad 252 responded on the 10-75 for Box 2303, 405 Remsen Ave, Lenox Road to Kings Hwy. Fire was found by the first due companies in the basement of a one story grocery store. Upon arrival, 252 members were directed to vent the front of the store and the basement area. Due to a limited number of natural openings, and a deep seated fire in the basement, members were ordered to cut holes in the floor to vent the basement. Numerous holes were cut as engine companies stretched 2 1/2" lines with Brezlin Distributors attached. They were put into operation to knockdown numerous pockets of fire. The fire was eventually brought to a 4th Alarm to control.
