10/20/2012 - 252 responded to a 2nd Alarm in East New York. Box 1850, 117 Euclid Ave near Etna Street, was transmitted for a fire in a two-story private dwelling. The 2nd Alarm was transmitted due to extension to exposure 4. 10/26/2012 - Just after the change of tours, 252 was sent on phone calls to box 0087, 56 Jewel Street, in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn. Fire was located on the first floor of a four story tenement. Heavy fire was venting from windows on the first floor upon companies' arrival. A 2nd Alarm was transmitted when fire began auto exposing to exposure 2. 10/29/2012 - At the height of Hurricane Sandy, Squad 252 was assigned to a 10-75 in Canarsie. Box 2294 was transmitted for a fire in the rear of 1423 East 87th Street off of Seaview Ave. The fire originated in a car and extended to a three story private dwelling. Fire was found on all floors and the cockloft. A 2nd Alarm was transmitted as companies did their best to stretch lines through waste high flood waters.
