It is with deep regret that we announce the untimely passing of FDNY Fire Marshal Martin "Woody" McHale. Woody started as a probationary firefighter with Engine Company 252, was a charter member of Squad Company 252, and was a force to be reckoned with as an O-Lineman with the FDNY Bravest Football Team. As a recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, Woody was well known throughout the job. His unyielding dedication to the FDNY both on and off the field will never be forgotten. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends, especially his wife Hope and two young children. Arrangements are as follows: Wake will be Friday, December 28th from 2pm to 9pm at American Martyrs Church, 79-43 Bell Blvd. Queens, NY. Funeral mass will be Saturday, December 29th 10 am at the same location. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to FM MARTIN MCHALE CHILDREN'S EDUCATION FUND C/O The FDNY Fountation, 9 MetroTech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201
